Here we are in another year - 3 months in, a bit late on the uptake, but these few months have been quite hectic. Plus with all the snow - sorry about the four letter word - there has been a lot going on around here. Mostly keeping up with a couple of large projects and trying to deal with business issues. I am looking forward to posting a few articles I have written recently in the Portfolio, so keep an eye out for those.

Wow, time does really pass quickly when you stop paying attention to the little things. I need to stay on top of this news updating, or just add the daily blog. Anyway, quite a bit has happened in the last 9 months - new clients, new assignments, thicker portfolio, another birthday, and so on. I am trying to focus on doing more writing than editing, but you cannot just turn your back on the bread and butter of your business. So on it goes. More writing opportunities have come along, including a few articles here and there. We'll just see how it goes. And maybe I will have more to report of interest.

Happy new year to one and all! I hope that all is well with those who are reading this update for 2007. As you can see from the last post, it has been quite some time since I updated this page. 2006 was a very busy year, thanks of course to my customers who kept me occupied for the great portion of last year. It was, in fact, my most productive year ever! The largest portion of my business came from math clients in the U.S., which continues to be an important part of my business. This year, I plan on continuing with the math writing and editing. However, I do hope to continue to expand my writing and editing into the web world, articles, advertising, and beyond. I hope that you join me for the journey, and should you need a consulting editor, you know who to call.

Wow, it has been quite a while since I wrote something here. The main reason for my lack of updates is the amount of work that I have been doing in the last few months. It has been a wild ride, and I hope that it does not end for some time. It seems that many different jurisdictions in the US and Canada have been updating their math standards because I have been getting a lot of work that involves creating new math materials. It's funny, because that is where I started my freelance career - editing math textbooks. As a result, I have had a career 4 months. I hope that it continues, and that I also have the time to update the website and this page.

It's a new dawn, a new age and a new year. I have to say that 2005 was a great year for my business. I believe that people are actually visiting my website and choosing to do business with me because of it. I have some articles published with various websites and media outlets. I have new clients who are keeping me occupied. I am looking forward to improving on my performance in the coming year.

Where has the time gone? I look up and it's November. I apologize for anyone actually checking the news on my website, but the entire summer was so busy that I have not had time to update my website. There will be new content here and there, including some new articles you may find interesting. And that blog is somewhere on the backburner.

I recently became a founding member of BIG Thornhill, which meets on the last Monday of the month at Terra Restaurant. It is a very good group. You should check it out if you have the chance. They have chapters all over Toronto. I also joined the New Path Network, which is a great group of solo entrepreneurs who get together to collaborate on projects. They have great speakers at their events and they know how to pass business on to their members.

I just joined the Association of Independent Consultants, although I have been attending their meetings on a somewhat regular basis. They had a monthly meeting last night where the speaker was Curt Skene, who is an excellent business speaker.

I have made some additions and changes to my website, thanks to some great suggestions from friends and associates. Of course, there will be many additions and changes to the website, but I wanted to acknowledge the support of those people who received my email announcement. The first major change involved adding my picture. Thanks for the support!
